(spoilers) This is a precautionary tale for whatever the negligence of psychiatric illnesses, among many other circumstances, can lead to. A collateral tragedy with nobody to blame but the people who gave up on Seongbin. His and Yeonghwa's situation saddens me lots.

They just happened upon the wrong place at the wrong time. Considering their circumstances, it'd be ridiculous to vilify them. For Seongbin, he was denied help when he needed most and reached out for it. If he'd been cared for properly by these fucking "professionals" in their field, maybe he'd have been more careful of his dosage. Maybe he would have had the chance to experience emotion as we know it in greater depth. He wouldn't have resorted to killing others, himself alike.

And as Yeonghwa may be critisised because she's incomprehensible by societal norms, make no mistake she never surrendered her life to anybody. Her wit, and her mania, her extremity, they make for a stellar character who doesn't bend before pretenses and mock moral righteousness. It's why she'll forever be 10 times more respectable than your average daily hypocrite.
