Despite the gratuitous and random fan service, it's deep. As with most CLAMP stories, it explores a unique kind of love. One with between a robot born to have "feelings" and a human. It explores a lot of what exactly love is, who can feel it, and what it means to be in love with someone. Love varies from person to person, and this story shows that. It's a rather beautiful story.
