A struggling couple go o a trip to save their marriage, just for the husband to try to hill his wife. In the pursuit, a monster finds and captures them both, torturing the husband and caring for the wife. In the end, the husband goes mad and while hallucinating, he manages to escape, killing the monster and becoming it himself.

The art was immaculate.

The story really wanted to make you hate the wife, ig it's because the husband was the narrator and he always loathed his wife. Pretty much everyone is at fault possibly the best thing to do was to be seperated. And since he wasn't given the chance for that you can understand his frustration still killing his wife to move on is not at all justified. The wife didn't really seem to care much for her husband, and seemed very materialistic (as told by the husband, the narrator).
I'd say it still has a pretty Solid story, especially the ending.
And what gives it horror element is the family dynamics more than that creepy fuckery in the cave fs.

The art is so nice.. and the SHADING!!! OKAY MAMACITA WE SEE YOU AND WE LOVE YOU!!! like in a way this mangaka can portray feelings without having to write the damn dialouge. The ending is giving me eerie vibes like the movie Parasite. If A24 have a genre in Manga, this will be it.
