“This universe is set to unfold in three parts: the beginning of the planet (Blossoms of a white night) —> the fall of the planet (next series) —> rebirth of the plant (Smyrna & Capri). As the world is reborn to that of Smyrna & Capri the omegaverse setting is added.”

So.. does this hint towards a tragic ending for this series? I wonder if Tei and Shuraka’s love will bring about destruction in this world which will unravel in the next series? Shuraka, the embodiment of sunlight himself, shines only towards the frost.

Care to entertain? Does anyone have any theories as to how this series will lead to the fall of this world?

No, the author note doesn't state or hint that this story will have a tragic end. This story sets the groundwork for the decline that leads to the next story which will feature the destruction of the world and the sacrifice needed to cause the rebirth for Smyrna and Capri.

My interpretation is that the three stories are independent. When reading the middle story you will get Easter eggs that explains that setting which link back to this story but it won't be something overt.

My personal theory is through loving Tei Shuraka will forsake the eye of Natam which might start the decline of magic.(We see hints towards this, him not reproducing, sparing his brother. feeling guilty for killing individuals once his mom forsaken him. Being viewed by the citizens as the non-violent saver etc.).

In terms of the personal end to the characters this story has a similar tone as Mania, blood link, and the weird pseudo father son Incest one so I expected a ending similar to those. Bittersweet more on the sweet. The ones with the more tragic endings(Taming the tiger and Yellow dragon) were practically screaming that the story couldn't end well.

If you look closely at what shuraka is doing, it seems as if he wants to abolish this Padishah nonsense, the steps he has taken and how he rules, you might think he wants to be the last Padishah so that the next generation isn't ruled by bloodlust, lemme get you the chapter

Chapter 24,where Tei sees Larr with a little boy, and shuraka tells him that's the sun that will replace him. And if he doesn't manifest the eye of natam, then that's the will of Natam
