While I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the actual story itself, this is getting one star because the translation is just genuinely abysmal. It was hard to follow a lot of the time, which obviously just completely bulldozed any possibility of me even being able to enjoy this—which I don't think I probably would have to begin with, as this story is mostly just every character cheating on each other.
Benny is unsatisfied with his marriage because his husband, Aaron, is unable to give him children. This pushes Benny into the arms of a man called Carter. With Benny wanting to leave Aaron, but being unable to smoothly do so due to their status as a celebrity it-couple, he and Carter come up with a plan; Carter approaches Aaron in a bar, drugs him, brings him back to his room, strips him, and then takes a photo that's staged to look like the two of them had sex. He leaks the photo to the press, and following the public outrage, Benny is able to divorce him without scrutiny from the public. Now, Carter and Benny are able to be together without worries.
Only, it turns out Carter did actually fuck Aaron. It's not entirely clear due to the poor translation, but Carter and Aaron also have an affair with each other once Aaron starts "officially" dating Benny.
Despite both Benny and Aaron having a relationship with Carter, they begin to miss each other and what they had. Benny especially only comes to realize what he had once he's lost it—now missing the warmth of Aaron's body against his as they slept. Aaron tells Carter he misses Benny, and Carter agrees to arrange a meet-up between them, secretly hoping this will lead to a threesome. But once Benny and Aaron reunite, Benny isn't able to reconcile with everything he's done to him, so he leaves.
Days pass by and Benny's yearning only grows, so he buys flowers and heads to Aaron's house to apologize and hopefully have Aaron take him back. But when he gets there, he sees Carter kissing Aaron. Shocked and outraged, he tells Aaron that Carter is his boyfriend, and then Aaron reveals he and Carter have been fuck-buddies—with the implication being that Carter was two-timing the both of them and that they weren't aware of Carter's ties to the others, but that doesn't really make much sense as the story doesn't establish at all that Carter and Benny were in a secret relationship, and considering Benny is a huge celebrity, common sense would dictate that news would spread of him dating someone new. Regardless, Benny and Aaron kick Carter to the curb and start dating yet again . . . Except, when they have sex, they both can't help but think about Carter.
The two men end up going to Carters, with a plan to use him to satisfy themselves and then discard him. They arrive at his dressed in nothing but trench coats covering their nude bodies, and proposition themselves to him. They fuck, and as they lie there afterwards, spent and borderline delirious, they start asking Carter to date both of them, they can be a threesome couple. But Carter gets up and already starts thinking of his next conquest, bored now that he's gotten what he's wanted.
Written out like this, it doesn't sound . . . Too bad. I mean, it's really messy, and the constant cheating on like everyone obviously makes the characters quite unlikable. But it's only six chapters, so there's a lot of room to forgive and forget. But, again, the translation was just fucking terrible. I did a lot of heavy lifting in the summary, and there are still a lot of spots in the story I completely left out due to the way it's just not understandable.
One thing I know I really didn't like was the way Benny and Aaron started to miss each other, as the story spent a lot of time establishing that Benny did not love Aaron any longer, and then when it came to Aaron, the story revealed he didn't love Benny, he married him for the convenience, but then the story immediately backtracked and made him start missing Benny. I just don't think it really did well in developing their relationship and making them understand what it is they've both lost—though, there was a scene of Benny missing Aaroon, now that he was alone in his bed when he goes to sleep, but even then, that scene wasn't really clear since the translation also made it seem like he only missed Aaron because Carter wasn't by his side. So on top of the poor translation that didn't make things as clear as they needed to be, it also just seemed like Benny only missed Aaron because he didn't have Carter, like he hated sleeping alone and he didn't really care too much who he got that comfort from.
