220626 (6) ok i’ve definitely read this before, i knew it was familiar lol. i don’t think i finished it tho, i probably marked it as “now reading” and it got nuked. i think i only read a bit before i dropped it, i def didn't finish it that time.
240826 (76 read on comix) that was surprisingly actually a great read lmao. i was not keen on this at first, taeyi was so violent and shitty towards seheon at the start, but man it actually developed into something wholesome as the story progressed. i still think it was absurd that seheon somehow fell in love with him when all of their interactions were so negative, but they're actually so good together now. it's really sweet how they support each other through all their hardships.
speaking of hardships, i honestly think this author did a great job writing about suicide, an extremely heavy topic. i loved that episode (42: the nearness of you) where taeyi was reflecting on his feelings towards taejun's death and slowly coming to peace to it. he talked about how seheon allowed him to think about it from another perspective; how his resentment only focused on how taejun's actions affected him, but now he can understand that it wasn't bc taeyi was weak that he ended himself..
i'm glad that no one pulls their punches on seheon's father lol, he's the worst of the worst. he abandoned his wife and child for a student who is very close to his own kid's age. disgusting on so many levels oh my god he and taejun never should've been together in the first place, there's so much wrong with that ethically. i do still feel a little sad for him obviously, but man i feel so much worse for taeyi, donghyun and eunsang.. they lost someone so damn important to them.
now about the side couples. i hated juha so much. i like him more now bc it feels like he's definitely changed, but if he was a person that existed in real life, there's absolutely no way i'd ever forgive him lol. like anyone who has the capacity to emotionally torment someone through violently break their friend's ankle, and also sexually abuse their lover, is totally unforgivable. i was honestly so mad when he and doyoon were becoming a couple, because not only did juha suck ass, but it was taking time away from the main couple lol. but as i saw more of them.. i actually begun to vibe w them. still hate his character at the start, but it's not so bad now.
overall, this was really fun to read and i was pleasantly surprised. lots of drama, lots of angst, lots of romance. perfect. i thoroughly enjoyed listening to the jazz songs mentioned in each chapter, this manhwa honestly showed me a whole new world lol. the main couple were definitely my favourite by a long shot, but i won't lie i would love to see donghyun and the uncle's (eunsang) relationship develop. i thought it was so funny that every single major male character just happened to be gay (or bi) LMAO. taeyi, seheon, doyoon, juha, taejun, seheon's dad, taeyi's uncle, donghyun... that's 8 gay characters in one manhwa please. loved it.

This manhwa is very dear for me, it just has a place in my heart since it was the very first one I ever read and the one that introduced me into this awesome world. Very grateful with that random online person that recommended me this, I hope I can thank you someday.
Anyway...
I’m glad I ran into a story this complicated, with a real and deep topic. Pretty “normal” compared to the stories we are used to read nowadays, where rape is the main topic. I felt characters faced their problems in a very realistic way. Everything was just cute.
