260726 (24) lots of thoughts rn omg lol. i wish it was longer.. that ending was way too abrupt. we got so much angst and conflict only to get a tiny drop of fluff at the end. they really should've given at least a couple more chapters where we just get to see them go on dates and such. it's really unsatisfying when there is no pay off at the end. like what did we suffer for lmao.

the fact that the rapist didn't even get any consequences at the end really pissed me off too. mf just got to get off scott free after all the trauma and unspeakable abuse he put jaehee through? literally no justice served. that rapist ex needs to rot in jail. he literally committed countless crimes and yet he's just able to move on with his life?? hell nah.

another thing is that the conflict was kind of resolved in a chapter despite it having lasted the entire manhwa. like everything happened in a very short time. it had me going like "that's all it took?" honestly, besides hatching the fake dating plan, they were never proactive in trying to solve the problem of the psychotic ex. so it felt stupid and unsatisfying when they finally did something and resolved it. the story writing just wasn't very good lol.

the translations were also terrible after like chapter 3, which really didn't help. still readable so it's whatever, but damn was it confusing at times. the image quality was so shit too bro my eyes were hurting from how pixelated it was lmao. still, at least it's something. i'm grateful for what we did get, even if it's not perfect.

this had a reallyy rough start too. jaehee was very demanding and unreasonable at the start, which made me heavily dislike him. while trying to latch onto sihyuk to get away from his abuser, he lowkey became abusive himself, forcing sihyuk into things. thankfully, this did improve over the chapters and he even apologised for it. i think that they were quite cute together by the end, tho they did have way too much miscommunication for my liking.

sihyuk is so patient bc if i was him i would've dumped jaehee so quick lol. he would constantly push him away but then get mad at sihyuk for not trusting him too.. i don't blame jaehee bc he's obviously been through a lot, but it was still frustrating af to read. it was kinda crazy to me that sihyuk didn't get even a bit angry when jaehee yelled at him for confessing and called it gross lmao. if that was me i would've been pissed. idk how he had the balls to confess to him again a couple chapters later too. after a rejection like that?! respect.

it's a shame bc it def had the potential to be much better, but with such little chapters, both the relationship and the characters weren't developed enough. however, i still ended up enjoying this despite its flaws, because i found it interesting enough to keep reading. i also just really liked sihyuk and even grew to like jaehee too. the art is quite lovely as well, so it was still a nice read overall.

It's not the WORST thing I've ever read, but it made me, just. So nauseous and uncomfortable? And I've read awful shit that made me feel less, so I'm not sure why this in particular was the line I had to draw lmao
