As fas as I can remember and according to what princess leora said, her family has power abilities but as time goes on, to keep their strength, they need to drink demon's blood to survive, non verbatim but leora said that it's a curse either way + the supposed cure is the velverosa's heart, and I agree with malori, it's definitely selfish that he uses his own kind to defeat the demon queen just for him to survive, not for protecting and caring for his people. That's what makes me so mad at him!! I know death is scary but do you really have to use people just for you to survive?? Ugh i'm just ranting about my hatred for him.... and that other hero too!! Dumb dumb why do you think you weren't able to go back home? Isn't it obvious the previous worlds are just using you for their own benefit after how many world's you have traveled?!?!?! He's dumb for that and naive I guess....
