I honestly don’t know how to feel about Moonlight Howling. I liked Eunwoo and Yoon as a couple, and there were definitely some sweet moments throughout the story, but the ending left me with more questions than answers.
First of all, what happened with Yoon’s mom? The story kept hinting at her and making it seem like there was more to uncover, but by the end I was still confused. Then there’s Eunwoo’s little sister. Why introduce her if we’re barely going to explore that relationship? It felt like there was a lot more story left to tell.
And can we talk about Yoon’s ex? The story shows that he was being abused, which is a pretty significant thing to show, only for it to seemingly go nowhere. Maybe I missed something, but it felt like that entire subplot was abandoned.
I also have mixed feelings about the fact that Yoon knew Eunwoo when he was a kid. The story kind of drops that information on us and then keeps moving. I guess werewolf stories play by different rules, so that’s neither here nor there, but it definitely made me pause for a second and go, “Oh. Okay then.”
As for the romance, I wanted more from the ending. The spicy scenes were fine, but they weren’t memorable enough to make up for how rushed the finale felt. I would have rather seen more character development, more answers, and a proper wrap-up for all the loose ends.
Overall, Moonlight Howling had a lot of potential. I liked Eunwoo and Yoon, but the ending felt lazy and unfinished. By the time I got to the last chapter, I wasn’t emotional, I was just confused. Maybe I missed some hidden meaning, but right now I’m left wondering if there are extra chapters somewhere that explain everything.
Also the translation is shit.

Wilkołaki i wszystko jasne, +1 do fajności. Jezuuu czemu to zrobili, Eunwoo w długich włosach wygląda 3x lepiej niż w krótkich. Muszę to przecierpieć. Całkiem udana historia chociaż zostało kilka niepozamykanych wątków. 8

Already read, but can't remember much other than the overall plot, so I can't rate it (have to reread)
I liked how Yoon was taking the lead in bed...that was about all I could tell you for the first 20 chapters of the story. Nothing really happened until chapter 30, where my interest got a little bit of a boner. Just a small one tho. Speaking of boners, I mean I love smut as much as, nay, MORE than the next person, but I mean...come on now, people. You gotta build up some suspense, some sexual tension, and THEN you head to pound town. If you keep fucking around, I won't even WANT to find out. Then I found myself low-key liking their fluff and domesticity. Also, Eun Woo's glow-up was MUCH appreciated. And surprisingly, then the plot got way more interesting despite the slow start, but then I feel like we went from one extreme to the other becuase woah, there was so much suddenly going on, Yoon turning into a wolf was not what I was expecting lol. Kinda fire tho like his wolf form is so pretty. The ending was still super abrupt, but I mean, at least they ended up happy together. I am now gonna go re-read Payback because why the fuck not.
