super cute! I ended up loving this story! It had lots of angst which I enjoyed but honestly I just pulled at my hair at some parts which is okay but DAMN! Guys, if we were civil for a moment and just talked it out… a lot of this would be over. BUT I understand why not! It would be ooc if they did because THEY ARE IN PAINN!! Enjoyable 4/5 simply because I high-key sped read the ending and skipped the side bits.

It was soooo good until the ending, they should've just been apart. Like ig I get it but it'd be more impact full and mostly realistic if they didn't get that type of happy ending. Idk just not so happy with all that bs kind of ending where it's all wrapped up tightly and such. But overall 9 out of 10

WHY THE HELL DID I KEEP THIS IN MY WANT TO READ LIST FOR YEARS?!? THIS THIS WAS WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR!! I yearned for this, a not so fluffy historical josei, where both the ML AND FL suffers from something.

It’s been a while since the last time I cried from a historical story, I literally sacrificed my sleep for this lol it was just so good to stop and continue the next day.

I never once felt frustrated at them, I just felt their pain cz I know how those shit will remind them later on. I was just really glad anette was not when she was at the battlefield, war really is hard and scary for women

Also A BOTTOM MALE WITH A RED FLAG TOP SHOULD HAVE ANETTE AS A ROLE MODEL AS THE WEAKER ONE. Anette was really firm and gave the ML a really hard time WAHAHAH tho he did the same and deserved all that suffering.

He literally made a God out of an Aristocrat, an only child noblewomen at that, of course she would live without a care, she deserves SOME of the suffering cz I too wished lot of horrible things to a nepo babiee, but I’m just glad they make it through till the end. I was so scared something may happen ANYWAYS THIS IS A MASTERPIECE
