The author probably only had a chance to publish one volume of this story, so I don't understand why they'd add a second couple instead of doing two couples and not fleshing out either. I never really get the point of having multiple couples in the same story, could've just saved it for another work and flesh out the main couple better, but still, I did enjoy the first couple even though their story felt more like an intro to a manga rather than a full story!
Any recs for BLs that are very angsty and heartbreaking, with a plot thats not bland and all over the place, but at the same time it has a happy ending and the top isn't an unforgivable rapist? I love slowburns but it doesn't have to be one. Also it has to be written in bottoms POV.
I probably read most of the popular ones (especially the webtoons) so I'd appreciate more obscure recs. Thank you

Guwon is super terrifying because he's not just an asshole who does evil things because he likes it, he has no morality standards in his head so he just ends up doing things without thinking and he doesn't know that in a society they'd be considered wrong or harmful. And everyone ended up going along with it so he never got challenged, even though by the first interactions of Guwon and teach, you can see that he's open to learn even if the truth is not agreeing with his view, as long as there is an explanation behind it that'd make it easier for him to grasp why other people think this way. I don't think he can fully regain people's trust after what he'd done but I like character development so I wish that teach just explained shit to Guwon openly, but doesn't seem like teach realizes that Guwon is actually willing to listen and learn, even though Guwon agreed with teach when teach told him Guwon was wrong. In other scenarios I'd be okay with Guwon being killed but I don't think I'd be safe for the town since Guwon is holding everything together. Instead, if someone explained everything to him, he could actually try to be a good leader (because he does want to be a good leader, it's just that he thinks that he's already good like he is) and apologize, properly try to make up for his wrongs. People would still resent him and that's completely valid, but at least they wouldn't suffer anymore if Guwon stopped with his shit.

Guwon honestly doesn't even realize that what he's doing is wrong or straight-up evil. Deep down, he genuinely thinks he’s a good guy and that all of this is serving the town he's trying to build and protect! He’s said so many times that this town is everything to him! He's actually someone who’s willing to learn..like, Guwon literally looks at Teach differently than everyone else, trusts him, listens to his opinions, and even changed things just because Teach pointed them out! So why the hell is Jinwoo planning to get rid of him behind his back when he could simply help him lead this town (which is basically a utopia in the middle of the apocalypse) with more wisdom and mercy? Guwon is so open to learning, adapting, and listening!! He just literally had no one to guide him before except a bunch of unhinged, ruthless lunatics like the Hounds, who just worship him as he is and NEVER challenge a single thing he does.
Jinwoo needs to realize that brain and mercy alone can’t lead a town trying to survive the apocalypse! Let Jinwoo be the compassionate brain, while Guwon and his pack of Hounds act as the brawn, muscle, and defense!
I kinda understand why, I think Jinwoo is just too scared now because after learning what Guwon did when they first met (trying to avoid spoilers but you know what I mean) this became personal to him. It's easier to look past things if they don't personally hit home as much, but learning that he'd been falling for a guy who did THIS was probably pretty mind shattering, and I think the fear just made him forget all the times Guwon listened to him. His resentment definitely played a role too, because even if he tried to teach Guwon, could he really teach someone who did such a terrible thing to him personally? He'd probably feel really guilty if he treated Guwon kindly at this point. I understand why Jinwoo is acting this way, but I'm still frustrated because I wish things worked out well for everyone, if Guwon is gone then everyone is put in danger again, just different kind of danger. Agh, this is a very good webtoon in a way that it makes you frustrated about how real it is and that people don't always make the "right" choices because what feels right changes with their emotions T_T

These people literally had their loved ones murdered by Guwon and then willingly went with him to live out the rest of their lives in this town! Like, why is everyone trying to play God while the world is ending! You better just stay put and live your life because you're already living with dignity, so if Guwon dies, you can pretty much kiss your dignity and your life goodbye forever.
