I’ve read Payback once every year since 2023, here I am on my 4th read and thinking back on how much I’ve changed since brings me to tears. Struggling with my own suicidal thoughts since I was 10, ever since Yohan’s suicide scene he grew to be one of the biggest symbols of resilience in my life. Jay and Yohan’s relationship shouldn’t be healthy, but for someone who needs to be given purpose, Jay’s approach can be the most comforting motivation to continue on living. It’s fairytale-ish, but I hope to meet a Jay of my own. I can’t wait to read this again next year, thank you Payback for giving me crumbs of a purpose.

I really like the plotlines and the artsyle. But not a fan of Jay being so pushy towards sex. Then again, Yoohan seemed not to mind most of the time, so do with that what you will. The did go together well though.

For me, this manhwa is so much more than just a "BL". I have found so much comfort in Yohan's character. He is someone I see myself in. I don't really care about Jay's character... I mean, I'm glad he was there for Yohan and taught him how to actually live life, but at the same time I don't really like him as a lover (especially in the side stories) if that makes any sense. I just don't like the way he forces himself on yohan (?) I don't really fw the "but your body is saying otherwise- tropes...

- it started okay but the top is making me so fucking annoyed... his personality is awful and idk how the bottom fell in love with him cuz the top doesnt really show his love towards the bottom.

I’ve read so many bl mangas and manwhas and Payback is byFAR one of my favorites. Yes, it may have a storyline similar to that of others, but it somehow resonated with me. Highly recommend!!

Niente da dire, ogni tanto mi sentivo confusa leggendolo, ma non perchè non fosse scritto bene. Mi è piaciuto e mi sono anche divertita, per ora mi manca la side story, quindi ci sta rimanere con la sensazione che non sia finito! Non do 5 stelle per ora, se si potesse ne darei 4 e mezzo, ma potrei cambiare idea. Devo dire che in quest’ultimo periodo non sono molto critica
