This is a story where its second half is incredibly stronger than its first half, but its overall themes are still rather lackluster. However, that's not to say it's bad. I enjoyed this quite a bit. It's just that I did not think this was . . . Fully realized, so to speak.
It's a bit hard to describe what exactly this story is about as it's more character-driven rather than story-driven. The base plot—which is that Kaname and Al are trying to stop Kaname from turning into a Vampire after Al accidentally starts the process—is relatively simple, but I can't imagine speaking about everything that surrounds it in a concise, clean way.
I'll try though.
As I mentioned, the second half is easily better than the first half, and that's because the first half kind of feels like somewhat disjointed exposition. The actual plot doesn't start until chapters three / four, out of six, and the actual connection between those first three chapters and the last three chapters isn't as seamless as I'd have liked. The first three chapters are basically setting up dynamics and introductions for things that show up later.
The dynamic between Kaname and Al is obviously something established early on. Al is brought to the church as a child "because [he's] a Vampire." Which isn't something I totally get as Vampires aren't treated consistently in this story as being very welcomed or even common knowledge, but whatever. He's then taken under the care of Kaname, the church's priest. What I really liked, and always like to be entirely honest, was that Al aged during his childhood very quickly. Within a few years he went from a young child to an—assumedly—older teen. So even though it was rather short, Kaname watched him grow up and in some ways acted as a father figure. I always like that dynamic, it always brings an inherent "spice" to the relationship that I find to be really interesting, especially if the story goes hard on it and shows the internal conflict a character would have over being attracted to someone they essentially raised . . . Which this doesn't really do, but it's still good!
Another thing the beginning does is establish a side character . . . Which I think it does pretty poorly. I forgot his name and I don't care to learn his name, so I'll just call him Side. The story begins by making Side look like the villain; Kaname walks in on Side trying to fuck Al, and then Side later forcefully drinks Kaname's blood. But then in the second half of the story once they learn Kaname is transforming into a Vampire, he lets them stay at his house and reveals he knows a potential way to reverse what's happened—he does as to make up for his bad first impression, and the fact that Kaname turning into a Vampire is partially his fault (as he drank Kaname's blood earlier). In concept, it's fine. It follows a simple progression and is easy to understand. However, this is a short story. It's only six chapters and he's in two, maybe three of them. The rebound his character has in personality feels inauthentic, especially since his own personal relationship is what makes him soft-hearted; it turns out he has his own shota he's drinking the blood out of and now knows what it feels like to have someone worth protecting. And it's like . . . That's cute and all . . . But so what? We didn't see that relationship for ourselves so this sudden growth feels disingenuous.
The second half of the story, as mentioned, is about Kaname struggling with turning into a Vampire and trying to find a way to reverse it and become a human once more. This part is incredibly strong to me, mainly for the chapters and scenes in which Kaname struggles with the idea of whether or not he really wants to turn back. He contemplates whether it'd be worth it, because now that he is beginning the process of turning, he's also been confronted with the fact that Al is going to outlive him. He's going to lose Al but more important, Al is going to lose Kaname, and he isn't sure whether he wants to put him through that. But he also already has a life that he adores. He lives for the church and the good he does for the people that visit him. To accept becoming a Vampire is to abandon what once gave him purpose. He felt like he was stuck between two almost impossible choices. He ends up choosing to become human once more and live his life with Al, and asks Al to wait for him once he dies, and find him again in rebirth. To love him once more as he loves him now. And I thought that whole arc was just really touching and, as corny as this phrase is, just really beautiful. This alone is what makes this story a solid three stars.
One thing I just personally dislike is the plot twist that Al is half-human, half-vampire—a 'Dhampir.' Him being that is fine, it actually makes sense as it was creatively teased throughout the story through showing him fine to things that would've otherwise affected a traditional Vampire (with the readers assumption being this just simply isn't a traditional Vampire), as well as the fact that he just needs "bodily fluids" rather than just blood to sustain himself . . . But him being able to turn people into Vampires just doesn't make sense to me because he's just not a full Vampire, if his blood is diluted should it not then be further diluted when passed down? It's a small thing that's easily wiped away and excused but idc it annoys me.
However, to end on a good note, I fucking loved the art. Adored the art, even. The art itself is genuinely beautiful, like this author can draw beautiful men DOWNNNNN.
This looks so negative to the point I feel it doesn't accurately portray how I feel; so to just reiterate, the part I absolutely adored about this story—Kaname struggling with the choice of becoming human once more—takes up half the story. It's basically what the last three chapters are dedicated to. What I dislike are multiple small things so when added up, it does look like a lot, but this genuinely is a read I really enjoyed and may just buy a physical copy of

i don't know what to feel about this. seems like a sin to like this HAHAHA
never finished this when I read it before, and I don't want to finish it now. the "I adopted a child and now we're in a sexual relationship but don't worry, he's the one wants this" thing is really weird

Uncensored manga is the best. I loved their passionate moments every chapter. It keeps me alive, lol. Since the priest did good deeds in raising the little vampire, he received an eternal love. I liked the story it was fascinating and intimate. The graphics also mesmerized me. Why does every vampire look cool and handsome. If they can only exist in earth. I will get one. I swear. Lol.
I’ll always find the “kid that I kinda raised fell in love with me” trope to be weird. But otherwise, this was cute
I feel like Ive read this before and saw the uke getting old and dying then after some years seme sees the reincarnated uke but as a kid. Probably got mixed with another manga

3.5/5 can't feel the chemistry between the couple that much, the plot's out of whack for me. The artstyle is beautiful tho.
Moments of being interesting, but generally pretty dull and uninteresting.
Good drawing but idk the story wasn’t that good
