A mix of delinquent shenanigans and baseball, somewhat akin to the early parts of Slam Dunk (around the time of the Mitsui delinquent subplot) and (presumably) GTO. Wasnt a fan of how the competition was paced (Why did Kawakami have more of a presence than Enatsu during the final arcs??? Felt like too much screentime was given to that competition - which is understandable given how it shapes the later game, but it makes the more emotion-based exploration of the rematch a letdown. The ending was genuinely pretty good (although I'm still peeved about how the guy who started the entire manga just doesn't show up ever again and is mentioned once by Aniya) but the oneshot is such a huge disappointment. At least show us the entire team celebrating! I wish we got more slice of life moments with all the characters, but considering how the author felt frustrated with writing baseball, the manga wrapped up quite nicely.
