well what a heartbreak
honestly it wasn't even that sad logically cuz they both died eventually but it's just so painful to watch. i do agree that it makes the story more impactful and true to their characters BUT DAYUM MY HEART HURTS AFTER THAT ENDING

what if frankenstein's monster was an attractive (gay) former classmate that frankenstein has complicated feelings of desire, and envy, and resentment for?

i love how it marries such a fantastical premise with real moments. the relationship between the two of them is so much fun to watch develop. the gruesome nature of everything doesn't preclude a nuanced exploration of their motives, traumas and pasts. the characters themselves are funny, sympathetic, morally corrupt, lonely, hurt, and human.

might be asada nemui's mangum opus, to me.
