Right off the bat I knew I was in the minority of people who like this story for the main couple. I disagree with almost every comment that enjoyed the side couple. Because the main character takes a back seat until the 60 something episode mark, I’ll be referring to the characters by their names instead of saying main and side couple.
I did not like Seungtaek and Kyubin. I know they were a fan favorite, and to a certain extent I can see why, but their behavior, Kyubin’s especially, at the beginning is so concerning. I can’t get over the fact that Kyubin beat Seungtaek to a purple just to maintain his bad boy image and to hide their relationship from their classmates. I don’t see how it is at all excusable to beat your crush to a pulp but literally no one else seems to remember that happening. Also, Kyubin saying he isn’t interested in anything other than Seungtaek is incredibly concerning. That’s obsessive and dependent which are NOT good things to have in a relationship. And then they just get together as if the only issue was that Seungtaek didn’t want their relationship to change. They’re honestly really concerning together. That being said I can see why people ship them. Their moments in the second half of the story are cute, just not cute enough to make me forget about their past. I don’t see how someone can physically assault their crush just to save face but apparently that’s just me. They both need mental help. Seungtaek is incredibly violent and needs help controlling his temper but they try to excuse it at the end by saying he just couldn’t bear to see anything happen to Kyubin. That disregarding logic and letting emotions take over in the worst way.
Anyway, the main couple. I loved them. I know I sound like a hypocrite. After just saying that I don’t excuse Seungtaek’s past behavior. But maybe it;s because I can see where Seunghee is coming from that I can forgive him for being rude to his classmates at the beginning. I really love him as a character. Also, his loneliness leading to an unhealthy relationship with a guy in his THIRTIES! Narratively speaking the villain is really well crafted. He doesn’t feel like a comically evil person but rather someone who is part of a cycle of abuse and trauma. He’s absolutely in the wrong for trying to get close to Seunghee because he’s a minor, and especially for sending nudes to a middle schooler(!) but the story does a good job of fleshing him out so you can see why he acted as he did (except for the nudes, I don't know how they expect us to justify that). Plus his dynamic with his boss helps show his reasons for his behavior. By the end of his story I felt bad for him while still hating him as a character. Excellent writing there. Anyways back to the main couple. I enjoyed their story a lot. They were cute together and I loved how they interacted. I don’t have a ton to say on them because they were adorable and I liked them. They weren’t perfect, at times they kinda pissed me off but Suhkyeok had a bit of the same obsession with Seunghee that Kyubin had with Seungtaek but to a lesser extent so I could still enjoy them as a romantic pairing.
Overall, the side couple was overrated and the main character is great and I adore him.
6/10, points docked off for the horrible side couple, they need therapy. I would recommend this story. I would not reread it though, I only liked Seunghee and Suhyeok.

it was pretty decent i got invested when (spoiler) it was revealed that this isnt a love triangle story but the two guys were actually in an extremely messy situationship with each other i liked that plot twist a lot LOL
i feel like its frustrating at times but thats bc theyre all flawed characters.. theyre foolish selfish naive teenagers that sometimes make dumb judgement calls that make me want to grab them and shake them violently. their communication is so bad that they all get into miserable situationships but at least they get better at it as the story progresses
at his core i really like seungtaek and his type of character, like the whole really studious good boy who’s actually one short fuse away from snapping and losing his shit. but ! i just think he got away with so much with no consequences..,, i guess kibyum taking the blame for everything is his moment of showing his love so they left it at that but goddamn. seungtaek fucked imbyeom up so bad speaking of i actually think this was a rare successful redemption in the case of imbyeom but it might just be bc i felt so fucking bad for him at times and he actually really likable by the end, for me at least

Bl plots were starting to feel dull but this restored my love for reading genuinely so good although I like the first couple way more than the second one, if the second couple seunghee and the black hair guy were the sole couple it wouldn’t have been that’s interesting but the first couple made me love the story
The backstory literally took over 17 chapters to basically ruin the initial ship that you start setting up in the beginning.
