Korean animation is so fucking bad TT. I didn’t even like any of Vivino’s animations, they’re all so clunky. Although the concepts are cool and whatnot why do they all suck ass. I also honestly didn’t like the voice acting either and all I was wanting to do was shove a used sock up Mignon’s mouth cuz he sounds like a wailing dog. Anyways, I feel like there was a lot of background story that didn’t get covered in the anime so hopefully I can read it once it’s completely done but ughhh I really tried to like it and then I was only disappointed. Even North American/European animation is better than Korean oml. That’s not to say there are good animators (I follow some talented ones on YouTube) but it’s definitely not for a commercial audience oml.
This may seem like ragebait but I literally need people to tell me that they also think similarly cuz I cannot be the only one.
I really do wonder why Korean animation looks so bad and why does the voice acting always sound like one specific guy (not in a good way), although I haven't watched Mignon yet
It the Korean dubbing voice for me that sounds so unnatural even with Yumi Cells drama, they kinda all sound like kids shows rather than sounding heavy or cheerful according to the situation as it should be.
For this anime as well I felt that they move unnaturally. So I read the manhwa then skipped through the animation to just see how they did it but for me the voices are the reason I couldn't watch it not the animation.

I think so too, idk who it would be but im thinking the average whiny Korean boy at the bar … I used to have a couple Korean friends growing up but now I moved so I don’t see them anymore oof so I’m not entirely pulling this out my ass. The animation is always so choppy too. I watched a couple other Korean animes like that other short BL where there’s a light haired puppy boy and a black hair and oml even the sex scenes…. Why were they more embarassing than me reading full on poem from Dawn of the Dragon…
I didn’t watch Yumi’s cells but I think I know what you mean. Honestly the Korean language kind of makes it hard to avoid sounding less childish. I am only learning Korean so I can read untranslated webtoons and also read my physical Korean manhwa cuz I like them a lot.
Yeahh even in Yumi's cells I heard the same dubbing voice, now that you mention it, do they have like one voice actor for everything or what

I even watched an interview with Yumi's cells voice acting cast and they spoke normally after they did a bit with their acting voice, like why can't you do it like that, for this one I thought their voices would be a bit deeper but nope （/TДT)/
it’s like normal Japanese anime too lolol, even though this is specific to those cringey ones that are dramatic. Another reason why I prefer voiced dating sims lol they tend to have good voice acting

I think Legs that won’t Walk is also on the freakier side but that’s because it’s full on abuse early on.
