this manga is... rough. its very interesting. i actually don't hate the ending, although many people seemed to. to me, spin out is story about a man that refuses to take accountability for his actions, blames everyone around him rather than himself for being a piece of shit abusive rapist and eventually that causes the one guy he actually loved (kind of) to die. now, idk if this reading of the story was intended by kunieda, for all intents and purposes her afterword doesn't seem to corroborate with what i interpreted, but who cares! death of the author and allat. i loved miki. he might be a liar and a manipulator but he sure as hell is a lot more sympathetic than the rapist and the murderer. so yeah miki didn't do anything wrong #freemiki. tatsumi was literally doing some bullshit to him with like veryy dubious consent. and also he raped him in the first chapter like. he fucking sucks. his narration is so soo frustrating but like i feel like that is what abusers think.
