So the anime grabbed my brain and reminded me how much I love this genre

Okay so it's just completelt different huh including the main character himself? His personality is totally different

I will say this is a rare occassion where I think the anime is actually better, it rlly only plucked the barebones from the manga and reimagined it in a way I think is better, but the manga is interesting enough thanks to the anime already getting me interested---

ARE THOSE THOSE FUCKASS BEETLES??? those goddamn japanese beetles are invasive where I live and have been eating and shitting all over our fruit plants for weeks I can't fucking get rid of them even tho I've been plucking them off and dumping them in water every morning and afternoon for 3 fucking weeks fuck

Anyway the anime is 5 stars but the manga is closer to 4

The anime is better narratively with the characters' tension and growth but the manga has way cooler scenes and stuff, and it's less supernaturla and more grounded and historical[ly accurate], they even included historical facts!
