Okkotsu Yuta is a timid and frequently bullied high-schooler with a problem: his childhood friend Orimoto Rika had died and manifested as a possessive curse, following him around and hurting anyone who comes close to him, friend or foe. After Rika hurts four students, Yuta is scheduled to be executed, until he is saved by a teacher specialising in exorcising curses and asked to enroll in Jujutsu High, a Tokyo school where exorcists learn how to combat curses.
