I read it, it certainly had me dying for the tension to pass. This sort of story isn't aimed at me, I don't like slow burns, kidnappings, cold mothers and I read too much dark romance to just overlook the red flag behaviours. I just didn't really enjoy it as much as I'd hoped I would... I especially didn't like the ending and epilogue. The MC turned into a bland standard character... Tied down by children, not visiting her home country and still wearing the abaya. And then seeing the original king and getting his back story but not his happy ending was heart breaking.

I just can't express how underrated this is... THE ML IS SUCH A HOTTIE TvT But he's kinda the obsessive type, and sometimes he acts like a creep. I don't really like how obsessive he is and how he doesn't give the fl freedom & personal space—it's a redflag for me. I know he has reasons but his obsession is not healthy at all. However, the ml is not that bad, I just wish he wasn't that obsessive lol it gives me the creep. AND ALSOOO I wish they included the backstory of the fl's parents. I find their characters very interesting. Anyway, this was a 9.3/10 for me!<3
