Really hits all the criteria in terms of wholesomeness. Dad's a spy. Mom's an assassin. Daughter's an esper. The ensuing misunderstandings are the comedic backbone of the plot. They are all trying to do the best to 'play their role', while hiding their own secrets. But at the core of it, they all really care for each other. Set in a fantasy East Berlin?
He got his pride crushed immediately after entering the martial world. Instead he gets married but his wife dies in childbirth from having triples. He becomes an unambitious guard, unbeknownst to most and himself he's pretty strong. His entire motivation is to raise his children well. I love how his children develop as characters and their intense familial love. What I'm not into is the FL they introduce later on, who is rich and young. It's a lot of action above all else.
A rare good mother with daughters. A women transmigrates into what she assumes to be Cinderella as the Step-Mother. She becomes a genuine mother figure to the 'FL', along with her other daughters. Along the way she gently pushes against the restrictive policies that oppress women. I like it, but I'm not sure it's 'good'. Her relationship with her daughters is great, but it feels aimless or slice-of-life energy? Her oldest daughter and the prince are cute.
While the baby (toddler) sometimes gets a backseat to the MC's career and family drama, the baby is freaking adorable. And MC and ML love and interact with their baby enough that it's making the cut. Plus he's written like a real kid. The plot is pretty...bland. MC is an aspiring actor, ML is a successful CEO. MC wanted a baby and got a surrogate. Except ML switched out his sperm (cause family drama)and technically ML is the baby's bio dad.
She travels back in time after being murdered. She as a teenager married a much older man with kids barely younger than her, before he promptly died. Having raised her oldest child to marriage she dies and is brought back to right after her husband's death. She forges better relationships with her children as she has the experience and maturity of an adult. I love how unambiguous her relationships with her sons. There's no question she only looks at them as a mother and they the same.
The mom transmigrated into a novel where she was a stan for the boy (when he's older). His father misinterprets her affection for his son as her affection towards him. They are a pair of FANTASTIC parents towards their son. They both fully prioritize their son above all else. The son isn't solely a plot device for his parents to get together, he's someone they care deeply for. 10/10. She's kind of op tho.
It's gearing towards a harem of girls around his daughters age, so I may drop this from the list. Basically, MC retires from being an adventurer after losing his foot. He find a baby and ends up raising her into a S-class adventurer. She's a HUGE daddy's girl. And not in a usagi drop (creepy way). She loves her dad in a non-sexual way, and he does the same towards her. Too bad they make him have weird relationships with everyone else. It's barely a step up.
The boy's grandmother wishes for their protective (goblin) totem to care for her grandson. He manifests as a human to take care of boy, before he can be sent off by child protective services. The goddess deity has also decided to move in with them to care for the boy. It's a bit too early to know if it's going to be a great read. But it checks all the boxes, for not sexualizing the child or building a harem.
As a mom she has noticed that her son is gay. It's sweet from what I remember. She's just a good mom supporting her son as he navigates his sexuality, on the sidelines. I think I stopped reading it cause I didn't love the art, but WHOLESOME. I think...
I'm hesitant to put this on this list because she is a TERRIBLE mother. But after dying she wants to be a better one. It's a complicated story about resentment, depression, and finding love that had already been there. Unlike her first life she is properly dealing with her issues rather than running away.
