The typical reincarnation into an otome game as a villainess that gets tossed away by her crown prince fiance. She gets attacked by thugs sent by the crown prince (felt rape-y) before getting saved by the 4th prince. He has a real bad rep but they fall in love quick. The cliche Japanese protagonist has too much energy for me. It always comes off naive and preachy. They're cute tho, so it's like a 6.5/10. Readable, but if it never updated again I won't be upset.
The reincarnated into another world only to be scorned by her prince fiance for the saintness trope. The semi-twist is that she is good at makeup and it's implied that she's the saintness. While the 'saintness' has evil magic. After being banished she opens up her own inn and is finally free to wear the make up that she treasured. My other qualm with this trope is that they make the villains so repulsively evil. As if by subverting the roles in name only, makes it interesting
She drunkenly slept with the ML Emperor and she's one of his knights. She knows it was him, he knows it was her. But they both pretend like they don't know. Her because he has a terrible rep and she thinks he might KILL HER. He on the other hand, maybe he doesn't want to pressure her but he knows she knows. The pressure is on anyway when she finds out she's pregnant. He starts to kind of coddle her, but without communicating so she freaks out and runs away.
It should be interesting, but I can't even get myself to reread this. She was a female knight (60 but looks 20, because nobles age differently) who sacrifices her life to save probably ML. A hundred years later she reincarnates as a baron's daughter and is subsequently selected as the emperor's court lady. She finds out that the emperor's magic is on the frizz and has to be engaged with his cohorts so she's sworn to secrecy. It's so bizarre, but still uninteresting.
Everything about this is generic, art style, plot, character depth. She reincarnated as the prime minister's daughter and tries to get rid of her virginity so she can't marry the polygamist prince. The guy she sleeps with is him and he was attracted to her because she's not like other woman in regards to sexual norms. I know we're all here for escapism, and creating an entire world that is backwards to enhance mundane qualities, but even then a line must be drawn.
Things are fuzzy, but it's basically MC dies and ends up in a new life. The tipping point was that they made it seem like she could fix EVERYTHING with tea. Like sure, tea is nice and rejuvenating, but like it's not a miracle mood cure. My mind can't suspend that far. I think her husband was neglecting her and he just 180's because of goddam tea. I cannot.
She's a reincarnated veterinarian, who was born as a lower class slave before being accepted as an illegitimate princess so she could be married off to a pig. Two years into his (sexual?) physical abuse he betrays her country and allows a tyrant to take over, while also sacrificing her. The ML allows her to live. She returns as a slave, but now for the tyrant ML. I find the MC grating. She's just extremely generic and so is the ML. She's happy to be a slave cause she feels freer.
So MC is reborn in a extremely misogynistic world where women are just disposable baby-makers. The novel clearly states that the men are messed up. However, that's it. It's not subversive. She doesn't change how men treat woman in this world. She only changes how they treat her and she does so by being the most submissive. It feels like the author wanted to say something about misogyny, but then forgot. It's extremely painful to read.
This is probably a better one on this list. A talented cook transmigrated into a neglected and abused daughter of a noble. Good thing this family distributes power based on cooking skills. Once that becomes apparent and her entire personality changes based on the fact she is an entirely new person, her family loves her now and are super protective. I hope that makes it clear why this webtoon isn't that great.
She transmigrated into a reverse harem novel as a sort of villainess who gets dumped by the oriML for the FL. So instead she dumped him and became the womanizer that she was written as. She's conned into being in a fake relationship with the oriML's best friend, but it's clear that he's actually into her. But it seems she's still into the oriML. It's a whole mess. Every character's motives are unclear. Things just keep happening with very little tension.
