One of the best parts is the fact that she’s never played the “game” and therefore does not worry about sticking to or straying far from the “plot” apart from trying to keep her character alive and safe.
Death may be the only end for the villainess but if the villainess is the protagonist then that makes all of the MLs (who are capture targets in this route) potentially homicidal, which is kind of yikes. Anyway, the art is gorgeous and the tension is delicious. A must read when it comes to this trope, especially if you like it when game aspects are included.
The yandere concept is kind of ruined by the series’ other concept, which actually makes it far more interesting. Random people being arbitrarily reincarnated into the same game, some having no clue about anything, is why this is worth a read. I’m sad it’s so short because it has potential for much more.
Rather than the FL falling into an existing otome game, she falls into an original rpg game-like world and acquires a reverse harem otome-style. It’s funny as hell and each potential love interest is interesting in their own right—though for now it’s full harem mode which is great. Worst part is having the characters break the 4th wall to remind us it’s rated G. It’s original and chaotic, the formula doesn’t apply.
Imagine being the prince/fiancé of the villainess who was possessed by a Japanese girl and she tells you every aspect of your life is based upon a game she played in a previous life. It follows the basic concept to a T but the emphasis on the changes FL has on ML from his perspective are fascinating given his initial personality and how he changes (which he muses about).
If you’re on the dark side already you might as well go all out. Honestly? This one is great. FL is a villainess out for revenge and gives it her all (because all villainesses are inherently competent, they’re just tossed aside of course). She also has a real personality and is sympathetic. TW for sexual assault near the end.
Someone called these two “Team Rocket” in a comment and I find that fitting considering they’re the best worst-villainous-duo and have fantastic chemistry. I also like that heroine gets to be a genuine cinnamon roll for once, you can’t help but want to protect her. This one is genuinely funny on a totally natural way, and the leads are great, which is why it’s a personal fave.
Dude falls into an otome game and just rolls with it, livin his life as a gardener like his father. I respect that. He’s a good boy and even without trying he helps make the villainess a better person. Healing vibes? Yeah, something like that. He’s so at peace with his side-character role which is refreshing. They’re still kids so the game aspects are minimal so far.
If you can’t win the game, cheat. Obviously.
It Looks Like I’ve Fallen into the World of a Reverse Harem Game
