I can't not have this on my list.. dude what abt this manga is bad? like 10/10 deadass. Okay so the character development and just overall depth this manga has is phenomenal. my fav manga tbh... probably b/c as a lesbian I felt so fucking seen. Regardless who you are this manga will hit you in the feels. It does an excellent job of taking cliche tropes and Turing them around in ways you'd never expect. I love all the characters so much and I've read it like 8 times.
*sobs* I have... an unhealthy emotional attachment to this manga. Regardless of what it seems it is a story of abuse and self-love which really hit home for me in more ways than one. It's a stupid premise but it does a beautiful job of encapsulating what it is like to feel stuck, only for there to be a ray of hope in your life and find peace within yourself. Dude... this... this is it. So I'm a whore for music manga *pretends to be shocked* and this gave all that I would've wanted and more. The friendship of these kids who play the koto makes me ugly sob. Some of their backstories and situations are unrealistic but look past it and it's an amazing story. You will fall in love with every character and their growth. PLUS THE ART IS ETHEREAL BRO !!
yeah this has 9.9 stars for a reason... please I really do not like sports manga but reading this made me so happy and energetic I love all of these volleyball playing boys even though I don't know shit abt volleyball. Their character growth and determination is so inspiring and I fell in love with almost every character. It deserves all the hype it gets. The anime is good too but... ya know
I debated adding this but... fuck it I love these bitches. It's a stupid romance that at first glance seems cliche w/ the "Im a different person only you know outside of school" but it pulls it off so well. I think the best thing abt this manga isn't the romantic love, but the platonic one that grows between the friend group. Miyamura's journey to make friends is what I love most abt this comedy manga. Pls read it's stupid and amazing.
This does not get nearly enough attention as it should... This is such a beautiful story of found family, desperately trying to balance the morally grey world of magic around them. The fl is so cute and strong. I love her attitude towards life and magic. It's not very far in but still worth the read b/c it is so interesting and fun.
There's so much to say abt this manga that I could literally talk abt it forever but plenty of annoying fanboys have already done so... uhm it's good trust me. The metaphors on society are scary but accurate LMAO I love it. I read this is middle school and it really changed my perspective on life by like A LOT so please read it if you haven't. It's not overrated I swear.
Another one people feel is overrated... it's not. This is a story of forgiveness of others and most importantly yourself. It is a very human story that depicts the pains of puberty and self love. It made me ugly cry reading it. I love their growth and character depth so much it is so sweet.
Now when I say this is a fine piece of literature I FUCKING MEAN IT ! This is the bar for all shounen fr. It encapsulates all that it means to persevere despite the hardships of guilt. It highlights actual themes of war and does not brush over the morally grey areas of the story. The emotional connection all the characters share are all so beautiful. The fight scenes are so fun and you cannot help but fall in love. A ten out of ten I cried so much... so fucking much.
