Volume 13: Shouwaru Ookami ga Koi wo Shita Rashii from the extensive series by Sakuragi Mei. Primary couple: Akagi, former student council president x Kousaka Nao, Disciplinary Committee Head.
Volume 14, Warui Series: Student Council VP Yukimura's ongoing romance with his childhood friend, Shinonome, who delivers some shocking news right after Mikado warns Yukimura about the consequences of overindulging in tsundere reactions.
Yuushi wants to secure a contract with the co-owner of a luxury hotel for the delicious pastries sold there, and made by him. The owner's price is Yuushi's sex. The sequel to this is Bitter.
Hasunobe Yoshitake, general manager of a luxury hotel, finds himself in deep hot water when he has nonconsensual sex with a drunken customer who turns out to be the owner of his hotel's rival. Sequel to Sweet, and one of Minami Haruka's few dramas.
A serious manga about partner abuse. Yumi's boyfriend beats him, demeans him and tries to isolate him from others by controlling when he leaves and returns to their apartment. Yumi tells himself that there isn't anything this man could do to him that would actually hurt, but when Mayama, a friend from school who never called or texted him in spite of his obvious attraction, suddenly shows up at Yumi's workplace and appears to have kept a flame burning for him, will this change?
The first story is a brilliant character-driven exposition about mistaken interpretations of the past and revenge. The second story is a continuation of Sabita Yoru Demo Koi wa Sasayaku, Ogeretsu Tanaka's amazing manga about partner abuse.
Forensic archeologist, Ei Tokura has experienced gross bigotry all his life as a result of being candid about his homosexuality, and pushes himself away from childhood friend and lover, Gin Kamiryou, affecting indifference for his feelings. An intricate story of cascading causes and effects. I'm a bit cool about this story. Sometimes, it felt emotionally overstretched, but given the tragic backstory, not unreasonably so. Gin makes Tokura one lucky bastard.
Sequel to Takaramono wa Hako no Naka, this doujinshi explores the complications of a painful past on Tokura and Gin's sex life, and how they overcome it. There was so much carefulness and tiptoeing around, it interfered a bit with the sheer animalistic, irrational self-surrender of romance. It's crucial for loving relationships in real life, but not so great for escapist fiction as it feels a bit sex-averse.
Manic-paced soap opera, the first 2 volumes in a long series of family dramedies, with the main emphasis on comedy, about the Obinata family of orphaned boys—except for the oldest, their sister Shima, a fire-breathing tigress of a journalist—and the two new Lost Boys who land in their Gay Never-Neverland built just for fujoshii. This one focuses on the love story between the eldest "Lost Boys", Taiga and Shuu, whose reticence to merge is informed by past hurt.
This story deals with Yuuta and Mayumi, both 16-year-old "stepbrothers" (not biologically connected) who share a bedroom. Mayumi's cheerfulness and pluck seems like a front to Yuuta who senses that there are some serious issues being blocked from resolution, and who resolves to find out what the problems are before it destroys Mayumi. The story also addresses the reality of being lovers in an overcrowded house (poor neighbours!) A lively, interesting tale with spirited, realistic
