Love Mode has such a place in my heart. It was the first yaoi manga I "read" (my sister got me Love Mode 4, but it was in Japanese). I own the localization of it as well. Naoya is by far my favorite character. His story is tragic and unfair, but he pushes forward. I loved watching him transform from being a child obsessed with power and money, to someone kind and selfless. Aoe's growth is wonderful as well. I can tell that Yuki Shimizu put a lot of thought into the story, too.
I've reread this quite a few times. Norikazu's art is to die for. I like the mash up of two overdone tropes (Yakuza and Host Clubs), but the story itself is fresh, romantic, and a little funny at times.
I can't place my finger on what makes me love this manga so much. The setting is unique, and I enjoy how easygoing the plot is for the main couple. The overall feeling they give off is wonderful, and they have excellent characterizations.
One of the first BL manga I read, and thus it has a special place in my heart. Watching our silent protagonist grow is wonderful.
The first Haikyuu doujinshi I read, and it successfully rekindled my love for the series which I had stopped reading at the time. This doujinshi is EVERYTHING that I wanted out of any couple: communication, communication, and communication. Yes, there are silly misunderstandings, but Kageyama and Hinata take it slowly and learn what it is like to be a couple instead of just teammates. They discuss boundaries, rules, etc., and it is so refreshing.
I adore how absolutely wacky the main character in this is. His thought processes are so humorously portrayed, and he's definitely not your run-of-the-mill love interests. The damn rubber earthworm panels get me every. single. time.
I like the overall simplicity of this manga (no dramatic break ups, rivals, or real fights). Tama is a rather juvenile, but lovable character, and it is nice to see the way Koushirou's heart opens up to him. Koushirou adores Tama, and that is evident in the way he treats and looks at him. Another thing that evolves throughout the manga is the art. I figure that the artist was working on this for quite some time so it's nice to see the way their style grows with the manga.
A really unique manga that focuses on an assassin and a detective that have ties to the same drug lord. The characters are well written, and the progression of the story is natural and well thought out. The art is also exceptional, with fluid fight scenes and dynamic panels. I was really impressed with the quality of the inking as well.
An incredibly unique story that focuses on the secret service and some characters that have interesting healing powers. My only complaint is that I wish it were longer! The last story features the couple on the cover, and I really adored their dynamic.
I don't know why I adore this one so much, but I do. I think it has an interesting plot to start out with, where you have a character falling in love with a chair of all things. And gradually falling for the craftsman behind it. The progression of the story can feel cliche at times, but overall it has a nice feeling to it.
