A yaoi classic for a reason. This gratifyingly long saga (continued in Fake II), follows two new york cops and their various misadventures. The mysteries they solve are genuinely compelling in their own right (and, at times, downright gruesome), but all in all the manga keeps a bright, light, and comedic tone that never becomes overbearingly serious. Featuring an endearing cast of side characters and lively (if definitely dated) art, it's a wild ride from start to finish.
Maybe not action-packed enough to qualify for inclusion on this list, plenty goofy. Yakuza (the tiger) is treated in a back alley by a passing doctor (the rabbit) & becomes obsessed with finding the person who took care of him. The art is of standout quality: the lines are clean and detailed, and the depictions of their animal avatars are by turns hilarious and sweet. Very funny and romantic (there is mention of rape, but Dr. decides he is very into his dangerous patient early on - no dubcon
Starts out light & comedic & turns darker, although never too dark (happy endings all around).
The central relationship is a bit horrid, but never such that it becomes unreadable (for me). Characters have a enough nuance that their actions, while not justifiable, are at least plausibly a function of their personalities & experience. If you're looking for a twisted romantic manga that isn't really that twisted (and don't mind a bit of dub-con), really this is a delightful ride. Korean ( L ->R)
A partnership between two independent agents called 'snatchers,' who specialize in retrieving narcotics, one gay, the other straight - both badasses. This manga follows assorted cases as they gradually move from an intense platonic partnership to an intense very-much-not platonic relationship.
Part crime drama, part sex comedy, part anti-drug PSA, and all awesome. Recommended if you liked Fake! - similar CWs as well.
A manga best described as an indulgent romp. It's well-drawn, nicely paced, and a pleasure to read. The characters are a bit one-dimensional and this isn't a story that will stick with you, but the it is a lot of very stupid fun. - See more at: http://www.mangago.me/recommend-manga/love_hustler/#sthash.3nMAMnMz.dpuf
