They had a really fucked up dynamic in the beginning full of insecurity, spite, and self-hatred and doubt but by the end, they've both grown as people and learned to let go a lot for each other's sakes.

Obsessive love interest is the stereotypical boss possessive treats-people-like-objects type of person before timeskip. After time skip, he's accepted that he's in love with MC and sees him as a person to woo rather than an object to keep. Amazing subversion of the trope!!!

Unbalanced power dynamic until the very end. MC and ML grow as people and give up everything so they can have their happy ending together. ML especially has had to grow a LOT for this ending to occur, so kudos to him.
