"humiliating yourself for love is one of the most formative young adult experiences you can have" (@noampomsky, twt)
Popular girl is down BAD for the quiet kid. He's literally got her running in circles. All I'm saying is that I understand the FL's taste. Main characters are well-rounded with good intentions and you can clearly the character development. FL probably does too much pining and chasing for her own good, but I get it.
Guy falls for a girl after seeing her face, which I don't blame him for. I don't have a fun tweet for this because I can't even make fun of it. It's so cute and all the characters are very likeable. It's super refreshing to see this type of shoujo, and I appreciate how the ML wants to develop a friendship before anything. I need this updated stat
"what i lack in sex appeal i make up for in silliness" (@zephanijong, twt)
FL horny-posts on Twitter about the popular hot guy at her school, and they end up having a good relationship and dating. At the same time, while she was previously "invisible" to her classmates, she slowly starts to make friends because she brings good vibes. The funniest part is how she continues tweeting even when they get together. Love how we get to see ML in his feelings too.
"it's so cute that cats have their own version of weed" (@b1g_damage, twt)
Interesting concept because there's animal-transforming lore and "rules" that they have to play by, and we get to see other characters in the same situation. ML is horny on main, but not pushy, which is a green flag. You might get secondhand embarrassment from the amount of perceived PDA.
"some people don't have rich or notable parents but they have really cool parents who, in turn, make them impossibly cool. this is nepotism of the mind" (@latkedelrey, twt)
Despite the ecchi tag it's pretty dope. It defies and parodies some shoujo norms and that's what makes it so great and funny. Gotta love the open communication. It's LOUD but give it a shot. The art is amazing too.
The outgoing FL teaches a yokai about human emotion and they start developing feelings for each other. It's a cute story, especially as the ML has a legitimate reason to not know how to recognize his own emotions. Although rushed, it ended on a good note.
"The two types of jobs are emails or farm. All jobs fall into these two categories."
(@coolp1np, twt)
giving farm/city dynamic, like Hallmark movies but with healthy relationships and without the religious undertones. The title doesn't lie one bit, it's all fluff, and just about falling in love and whatnot. They are both adults, but there is an age gap. It's not much of an issue except they KEEP reminding us, but I've noticed they do that a lot in the age gap genre
"the quickest way to improve art is to become horrifyingly obsessed with a piece of media" (@goofbell, twt)
except that piece of media is an actual person. A high school girl becomes the muse of a painter who's been kept in a childlike-wonder state by those around him. It's beautiful and tragic, albeit messed up.
"his heart is in ... maybe not the right place, but it's in a place" (@Save8Train, twt)
The ML's have some serious issues and should seek psychiatric help. The FL is my favorite; although she was also raised in a yakuza household, she's the most level-headed and fucking metal honestly, and puts her foot down when needed while still being aware of the position she's in. The FL and ML complement each other well, can't lie
this shit is so cute and it's all feel-good content but I eat that shit up every time. All the characters are so unique too.
Kusumi-kun, Kuuki Yometemasu ka?
