Golf - Sousuke Youki is a whacky, but ruthless delinquent who one day takes affront at an ace golfer's attitude towards him and decides to get revenge by becoming the king of golf.
The main character is kooky, egocentric and immature, but he's also has that determination and fire that seems to characterize all sports MCs. I also like how the plot, unlike those of so many other sports-themed mangas, focuses pretty much solely on the MC, rather than deviating to build up side character
Soccer - Tsukamoto, an amiable, naive shorty who's always trying his best to please, meets Jin, a whimsy soccer prodigy. After playing a game together of indoor soccer, Tsukamoto, although a complete newbie, decides to join the extremely talented soccer club at his school.
Slow burn. I'm at chapter 50 something and he's only now showing development. Before that, we mostly see this kid either play cheerleader, learn through failure, or run (A LOT OF RUNNING). Not bad, just not a favorite.
