10/10 best manhwa I've ever read. Reminds me of another great Korean drama- School 2013 that talked about similar themes, but this is even better. On the surface it's about violence on children, bullying, friendship but it's infinitely deeper than that.Stories that like this makes me realise how much space is occupied by formulaic romance, when there are even deeper stories and subtler emotions that need to be explored, and that can be told well, we are just not exposed to them.
4/10. the romance and story for the most part, is completely trash.the love interest is cringey and typical alpha-badass wannabe everybody seems to worship, but when they meet them irl, they realise is an incel loser, Andrew tate fanboy. What's most interesting however is Haribo's description of brutality and poverty and violence, and how people cope in these situations. The genuine struggle to be good captured was genuine I think, even tho it's mostly a crappy revenge fantasy.
6/10. The sexual objectification of middle schoolers made me want to jump off a cliff, I'm adding because despite it all, it's a very rare depiction of the complete social isolation of one guy and the consequences of treating the world as enemy/competition. You'll pity this guy, because he is genuinely pathetic and his only friend is a public statue. The depiction of women still makes me wanna hurl tho
