Needed more groveling

1.6/2 (the gay MC was likable so the rounded up two starts are for him)

—the love interest got away with lying to and slapping the MC way too easily (forgiven practically instantly). Besides that, the entire “used to be in love with someone else” plot point wasn’t properly discussed either, so the the lingering thought of “would the MCs even be together if the other guy had paid him attention?” was never disposed of in return.

Kind of lackluster all around.
