A library that holds books for safekeeping until their owners can retrieve them. With a high school student as the owner and a mysterious librarian, some weird stuff happens.
This is different. It's sweet and sad and I'm at a loss as to how to describe it without revealing all.
Fascinating concept. A clairvoyant who physically exhibits the wounds of the victim is part of a special investigations unit. I don't know why this is labeled the way it is, but though there is a relationship of colleagues, there's no copulation, not even flirtatious behavior between the coworkers, at least not that I read, so if it's between the lines it's so small I need bifocals to see it. In this story, I found it to be the mystery and the clairvoyant. Very good.
So, it's here this unique story moves from I guess what's called 'bromance' to romance... (My slang/English is rather antiquated.) So there's the usual interesting mysteries plus some relationship development and eventual consummation.
Interesting. Wishes, mirrors and missing people are all part of the mysteries of a particular school. Sometimes, though, wishes shouldn't be voiced, mirrors are more than reflective surfaces and the missing... Ah, well, read it and find out.
Welcome to the most fucked up zoo in the world... And aquarium and circus... Be nice to the fuzzy, feathered, scaled, finned, etc. of the planet or you just might be cursed to become one of them. This is funny, dumb, interesting and just plain weird, but a decent read nonetheless.
A girl who isolates herself because she can see the shape of shadows meets a shadowy figure who helps her understand what she is seeing and gives her the knowledge she needs to begin changing herself.
I put this here because it's some seriously messed up shit. A sweetish read when it's over, but after the initial introduction stage, DAMN... I liked the whole human incarnation of animals premise, and I usually like the human incarnation of a god, but not this time. Everyone needed to stop pandering to that crazy ass and beat the everloving shit outta it. I get the mental abuse aspect that caused it all, but that's why they have psychiatrists and anti-psychotics.
Some say there are several kinds of sin, but really I only see one: Greed. One can be greedy for anything and everything, but be cautious of what that greed can birth.
A boy who, no matter what is done to him, refuses to die meets a girl who is so blessed by good fortune it creates chaos and death for those around her. Even the Reapers are having a hard time with this one. This is nothing overly engrossing, but interesting enough to list. Don't know about the sequel yet.
