5/5 -- this is my ideal MC -- cool, level-headed, adaptable, empathetic but has boundaries, and smart as a whip -- fuck yes. i am here for this. time to read the novel.
ch 600+ (novel) -- bumped up the rating -- this might just be my fave korean light novel at the moment. i haven't seen something with such well-rounded character dynamics since fma 100/10
5/5 -- the writing, script, political drama & slow burn romance.... an austen novel x magical fantasy
(read on WEBTOON app to support the author)
4.5/5 -- takes the typical isekai trope and gives it so much depth; the slow exposition ends up adding poignancy to many moments later on
4/5 -- i love the drama and their attitudes -- each character has such a strong ego its fun to read how no one backs down
3.5/5 -- super whimsical art style the atmosphere just feels like it sparkles -- the movement-to-movement transitions are insane; a light read about learning not to grow up too fast
4/5 -- slice of life, central asian culture, diverse cast -- the attention to D E T A I L. you can tell how well-researched the culture is from food to clothing to patterns and i love it.
3.5/5 -- ballroom dance, competition, finding passion -- gorgeously expressive art, pretty standard sports plot but the ballroom setting feels refreshing
4.5/5 -- gets into the psychological side of acting and the industry; dynamic; has a compelling grittiness to it
3.5/5 -- unfortunate that it got axed so there's an abrupt ending, but it's got clean art, unique concepts, and some fun times :)
