A beautiful and heart-warming webtoon about two teenagers who become close friends in high school. I love the art, the characters, the pacing, the tone... it’s exactly my type of story.
Sad, beautiful, tragic, ambiguous. A dj about an Ed who has lost his grip on reality. The artwork is gorgeous.
The design and art of this doujinshi are utterly fascinating. The story they tell is difficult to follow, but I feel entranced by its unique style. It's based on the ending of the original Fullmetal Alchemist anime, if that helps.
A young man living on a farm meets an alien who came to earth looking for his wife: someone who has a specific birthmark. Well, guess who has one of those. Utterly cute and fluffy, not to be taken very seriously, but interesting nonetheless.
Yui meets a man who says he has had psychic dreams all his life that they will fall in love with each other. This story has wonderfully happy moments, terribly sad moments, and an ending which I am quite satisfied with. (I won't say whether it's happy or tragic, you'll have to read for yourself, hohoho)
A knight with aspirations and a young man brought up in a monastery meet along the road on a pilgrimage route. An interesting historical manga set in Europe. It has a somewhat vague ending, which seems to upset some people, but I love that kind of thing. Chapter 4 is a separate story, which also isn't bad. I like a lot of this mangaka's works, but her characters have a tendency toward cheating and dishonesty which keeps me from whole-heartedly loving them. But this one's ok.
A high school student who has always been cursed with bad luck gets coerced into joining the gardening club by two unusual older students. Gardening reminds him of his grandmother, but also a painful past. Interesting characters and story, which becomes surprisingly serious.
A star actor (conveniently named Star) signs up for a Twitter account pretending to be his own character. He trades messages with a super fanboy (who’s called Fanboy) and complete and overwhelming cuteness ensues.
A series of stories about various couples, each one tangentially connected to what came before. They all have different themes and lifestyles. Some end happily, some not so much, but they’re all told in an interesting way, and sweep you up in the ‘momentum’ of their world.
A high school student learns that his parents won’t be able to send him to college. Nothing seems to be going right, even when he falls down in front of a flower shop and the florist comes to see if he’s ok. The sketch-like artwork is nice, and the story, though pretty standard BL, tugs at the heartstrings and just feels *right*.
