it's short, but it's poignant with a bittersweet ending. i teared up a bit ngl. the charas are quite complex with their trauma and thru each other, they find comfort, becoming emotionally intimate, despite the inevitable ending...
go in blind, you'll never expect the plot twist. at first, it follows a young man with secret superpowers who falls for an athletic girl... feels very slice-of-life at first. As the story progresses, there's some foreshadowing that conveys a sense of strangeness. and the payoff- the reveal and everything after that honestly blew my mind away. it is a perfectly delivered genre shift. amazing amazing storytelling, storyboarding, and plot.
the plot, following two high school boys with different personalities who fall in love, is cliche and not unique, but the execution is perfect. The art style is whimsical and fluid, very refreshing- and their story is quite tender, how i want my high school, first love stories to be. this is one of the best bls mangas set in high school. (ignore the teacher aspect)
action/comedy/awesome, creative, and fluid action choreography. plot progression, charas, and pacing are great. one of my favorite mangas, but prob my favorite manga involving assassins, a family guy, and comedy.
one of my favorite horror supernatural mangas. dark, highly tense story with psychopaths mc and villain. i held my breath at so many points in this story. the author is highly creative with his ways of utilizing the ajin bodies and the storytelling is excellent. the origins of the ajins are still obscure at the end, but I'm ok with that.
it's underviewed. due to his victim's desire for revenge, mc, his bully, time travel and ends up in said victim's body in hs. now he must prevent the "life ruined" incidents he had caused... the story's centered around his chara development, and it is immaculate. it's slow but feels realistic. his friends' antics r the main source of comedy in this story, and i love how he gradually grew fond of them. there's romance, and the love interest was bitchy at first, but her chara growth is great too
one of the first manga that pulled me into that world. one of my all-time favs. i love how fleshed out each student is, with their own unique talent/skill, and their chara growth. koro-sensei is the best teacher in manga hands down. from beginning to end, it's a very entertaining story and the comedy is a bit juvenile, but i freaking love it.
so action-packed and intense. the art style is very good at conveying twisted expressions lol. the battles are very exciting. i think it's the best in humans vs gods gladiator-esque mangas about fights between giants of different fields.
one of the best "shoujo" mangas as it's a cut above the rest. mc gains a motley group of friends, and while her appearance is the plainest, she is fr the life of the group. shes incredibly likable and down to earth. the chara writing for the charas are nuanced and excellent.
