Honestly one of my favorite purely psychological horror manga. There's no supernatural elements, no monsters, no apocalypse - instead, it's an excellent illustration of the horror of growing up in an environment where a parent slowly starts to feel more and more off, and you even start doubting your own perception, memories and identity. It's fucked up, but really really good!
This one might technically fall more into the category of a drama than a horror story, but I think there's enough elements of horror woven throughout it to justify the inclusion. Body horror, ostracization, murder, identity loss, loss of autonomy, kidnapping, manipulation - Kasane delivers a complex, tragic tale in a beautiful and unique art style.
Small-town supernatural queer psychological mystery series. The art is gorgeous, and the characters are really well-written.
Fucked up premise but honestly a very moving story with a lot of heart
Not a story you expect to get as deep as it does, since it's protagonist is an elementary schooler. Beyond featuring the classic horrors of ghosts and spirits, it also tackles subtler, deeper or and disturbing real-life horrors as it goes.
