Japan's first woman detective Mitsuko and a college student go on solving missions!
The story follows Takezo Kurata, the sole remaining member of a high school koto club, as he recruits an unlikely group: a delinquent and a prodigy, to compete in the Koto Nationals.
This was the first work I've read by this author and it's amazing!!! I love love love how the author just takes its time with the struggles, never rushing the characters, but ultimately finding an answer for their problems! I LOVE the character development of each character and the romance subplot!
Umiko goes to a cinema for the first time after her husband died. There, she meets Kai, a film major student. After their fateful encounter, Umiko realizes she wants to become a director.
Such a gem of a manga. The plot is original and honestly so refreshing. I love how Umiko's inner dialogue is so relatable and mature. Her dynamic with Kai is also interesting—two people who are passionate about movies. Love the metaphors and motifs used for the story as well (sea, cooking).
Lmao go into this blind. I did and I was so confused about the twists and turns until I realized it was THAT kind of story.
It's one of my absolute favorites. I remember crying so much about this! Definitely a blueprint for more amazing webtoons.
Homicide detective takes the concept of justice way too seriously and starts killing bad people to eradicate evil and to pursue goodness.
Don't read this if you're uncomfortable with gore 'cause there's a lot of it. Story is INTERESTING because of the many killers and their back stories as well as the many ways Hiroki kills them!! I think Hiroki's a psychopath as well...
Sexually active teenagers fear only one thing: getting the girl (accidentally) pregnant, which happens in this story. But it also shows the life of a teen mom—before, during, and after pregnancy.
It made my heart sank. This depicts very well the realistic life of being a teen mom. From being in denial to deciding whether or not to abort the baby, and even talking about it to your family along with dealing school. Despite it being pretty heavy, it's also really informative!
Two sweethearts die by the hands of an unknown killer. Girl gets a 2nd chance at life but she has to start from square one, meaning, her lover has forgotten all about her. Now, it's up to female mc to find out who's the killer all while protecting her lover.
Even if the mind has forgotten, the heart doesn't forget. I like how torn and stressed female mc is. There's something about women persevering against all odds for the sake of love that I find admirable. !
