The epitome of what this list is about, you are reading and suddenly BOOM it hits you that, hey, the love interest in this shounen action adventure just happens to be a guy. It's rly just a VERY good shounen, but the blushing, beautiful, popular, overpowered chick that the MC feels the need to protect is a guy on this one. Really. Peak.

Very plot heavy and they just happen to like men
Incredibly "if the ML was a girl this would be shounen" situation
Takes its time to go explicitly romance, if you took out the yaoi tag I'm sure any yaoi haters would read with joy and then be surprised that it doesn't stay bromantic
You know those actions webcomics where a guy gets in the body of a teen going through bullying and have to save him to get back to his body? That. But they all just happen to be gay. (can only vouch for 1st season)
It's more like josei but yeah. Real plot. Amazing stuff incredibly worth it please read it
The romance is not at all secondary but the real plot is independent from it, rly fking good
