not explicitly yuri, but very focused on female relationships and adulthood! a sports shonen if it was made for female office workers lol. the main background relationship really suits my tastes, and i like the way that it's such an important relationship to the mc but still remains unexplained. although there's not many ways you can take living with a woman who got divorced bc of you <3

oooh the comphet is real with this one. love the journey of the fl that leads her to accept being in a shitty abusive relationship and unable to accept the love of another woman to realizing her cowardice is stopping her from living the life that she wants to live. her journey also involves getting closure, and allowing her relationship to be real instead of an escape from her actual life as well. very well done, and love the epilogue that showed where they ended up + their kid!!

fucked up historical yuri!! lynda i am obsessed with you, you are sooo crazy to me. betraying your loved one bc of a sense of abandonment and betrayal and that leaving you with a daughter that is your undoing. and the main relationship is very sweet and touching, with their mutual bond of refusing to look away when it gets tough being the thing that allows them to survive it all. also fl would be a wonderful butch bc the story really sets her up with that storyline? wasted opportunity i suppose

women who commit murder <333. the depiction of domestic abuse was raw and real with the echoes of that abuse being shown in both fl and mc. it's snappy and fast-paced, with a happy ending, so what's more to like? the relationships and drama between women are a sticking point, with the main antagonist (besides the husband) being the sil and the accomplices being clients of mc.

10/10 i'm sobbing on the floor. excellent depiction of how childhood trauma manifests in your life + all the messiness of dealing with generational trauma. we! are! breaking! the! cycle! both aerie and joy were mature, reasonable, and felt so much like real people. love how sibling relationships were so complicated and yet tender. carrie and her bf are sooooo, and roger!! love them <3. also so much sympathy and compassion towards mothers, and yet criticism too! i really loved this.

sweet and quick with interesting peaks into subcultures that i've never really heard of? another couple that would be better if it was butch x femme. the introvert rep is so real and love how they play off of each other, and the repeated gag of the stupid clubs that their school has. it also fleshes out the characters through their interests and the way that they express those interests? very highschool besties, but you have that undercurrent of something romantic brewing.

honestly this is just hot and sexy. love an older woman with glasses and a pathetic butch. there's a weird past connection that just seems to be there to stir up some drama, and there's the weird ass setting of dentist x wisdom tooth removal patient. it's just endearing lol. has the same vibes of a bl, which is rare fr gl to have bc it's either way too male gazey or too pure.

so fucking messy. so much going on. someone there's like three different relationships going on with jiang ting, who seems to have a string of broken relationships behind her. which honestly, red flag, but hot enough that it fully doesn't matter. fl is also in some messy ass situation where a minor keeps hitting on her, but not enough detail on that sitch to see if she's a creep or not. so far it's been very entertaining, and i'm seated for more drama to come
