Absolute FAVORITE familial love depictions

FL has a cute bickering relationship with her dad and other family members but also deep enough to share and heal from her war trauma thanks to them. They initially think that she's a normal boy, but love and accept her all the same even after finding out that not only she's a girl, but a runaway mage and child soldier from their enemy country. Her dad always loves her desperately and unconditionally no matter the circumstances

The plot was frankly very cliché, but I absolutely LOVED the subplot with her father. Especially their ending in the previous timeline, it was heartbreaking . FL's dad thought she hated him and was living well, so he never went to see her and was left completely broken when he found out about her terrible life of abuse and her injust death. He eventually killed himself to bring her back to life. In the current life they rekindle their relationship and he loves her SO much

Her father is as expected emotionally constipated (lmao) BUT unlike most in these stories he's not an asshole at all, he's just trying to protect FL from the shadows, even with his health deteriorating in the process. He loves her so much!! In ch.72 (probably my favorite scene) he immediately recognized young FL disguised as an ADULT MAN on the battlefield and they hugged TT

The family backstory is heartbreaking! FL was kidnapped as a baby, leaving her parents in pain for 11 years without even being able to confirm her survival. In her previous life, FL was manipulated into murdering her own father, so she's now full of guilt and need for revenge: not only do her parents (yes, the mother is alive!!) help her with her revenge once they finally meet, but they also readily forgive her once she tells them about her previous life. They're so sweet!

I Don’t Want This Reincarnation
(novel only)

It's more of a subplot but I LOVE MC's relationship with Elohim, the immortal prophet (appears around ch.150). They have a father-son-like relationship and Elohim is so sweet and understanding towards him (especially because he's basically a God and can see all about his life and thoughts). He has a very paternal body language towards MC and continues to caress him, pat his head and such everytime they meet, awww

I HATED THE UNCLE'S GUTS for most of the story, don't get me wrong, he was terrible, but I still loved his character development and how maturely both his and mc's sins (and their relationship) were addressed. He became such a loving dad to her that he readily accepted her even after finding out about her possessing his niece's body and about her previous identity (he literally KNEW HER). In the SS we see he continues becoming mc's family in her next reincarnations

This is so sweet I'm gonna get diabetes!!! (read the light novel/watch the anime as well) Traumatized kid runs away to survive and goes around meeting kind and accepting adults left and right who just want to spoil her rotten while still respecting how smart and independent she is. She later also meets an actual adoptive dad as well (who's not only the sweetest, but her perfect match in terms of personality and powers as well)

The Villainess Duke Lady Hides Her Identity

One of the sweetest dads ever who actually WORKED HARD to gain FL's trust and affection instead of the usual opposite. Even without knowing that FL is his biological daughter, and while everybody else was suspicious of her and treated her terribly, he followed his instincts and became the best dad from day one. A bonus to me is (as always) that he treated her the same even after finding out that she was NOT really a child

How the Prince Makes Friends
(novel only)

Despite the title, the main protagonist is not the cute prince but Nihil, the fake (immortal) child and I LOVE his family relationships so much TT. He has an adopted son (who's a 600 year-old demon) and a cute 'grandson' for whom he would do (and did) ANYTHING and who would do (and did) anything for him in return. His son literally went crazy waiting for him for 500 years after he 'died' in his place

Another extremely sweet adoptive dad. And she really ISN'T secretly his bio daughter unlike a lot of similar stories, which is a bonus in my book. Found family for the win!! I loved the contrast between her biological father, who readily abused and abandoned her just because of a 'flaw' in her beast transformation, and her current dad, who loved her unconditionally since the beginning despite not being related to her in any way
