They way it starts out you may expect major angst, torture and non-consensual behavior; but it‘s really mostly green flags, albeit mixed with (more or less subtle) dark undertones and obsessive behavior. Sure the ending is absolutely rushed and I‘m positive that the author planned something more with Hwas character and political side o/t plot, but at least the story and lose ends mostly got wrapped up.
