I really love this list, it's full of gems, some known, other not so much. I love the number of older less popular ones, they can be hard to find. I totally agree with Red River. I love that one to bits. I would own it if I could.
If it's not too forward of me, there are some more I recommend. To my knowledge they're all on mangago, I can provide links if you need them. If nothing else you should at least give Vampire game a shot. It's not one to sneeze at.
1. Skip Beat 2. Vampire Game (this is is a must, do not pass on this one, seriously a great read, you'll love it) 3. Library Wars (so darned good) 4. Blood+ (both main protag and antag are some serious kick butt women, even the side women are good, oddly enough I actually recommend the anime over the manga, it's much better) 5. Ghost Hunt 6. Flying Witch (is full of awesome women both as main and side characters, each displaying different forms of strength, though it's a slower slice-of-life type) 7. Gokusen 8. Magical X Miracle (I love this one) 9. The World is Still Beautiful 10. Invented Inference 11. From Maid to Mother 12. Ascendance of a Bookworm (maybe, she's strong but it's her emotional strength, academic ability and adaptability that shine brightest) 13. Daughter of the Emperor (as above) 14. Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami 15. Doctor Elise
Ones that fit the theme but feature wlw romance 1. Miss Sunflower 2. Chatting At The Amber Teahouse 3. Wandering Son (she's trans so you'll see her as a guy at first) 4. Tamen De Gushi (more of a webtoon style)
Ones that only kinda sorta fit because the woman is more of a secondary main character. 1. Shaman King 2. Amatsuki 3. D.N.Angel 4. Grandson of Nurarihyon 5. Moyashimon 6. Otomen 7. Please Save My Earth (can't tell if she's main or secondary main, not sure how well the story fits the list but it's a good read) 8. Natsume's Book of Friends 9. School Babysitters 10. Bushin Gikyoku (amazing character and damn good story. even if it can't make the list you should still give it a read)

For this story...i think it fit well. Leslie surely strong enough. She emotionally strong. If I were in her place, impossible for me to survive or rather I will only give up but she..eventhough still a kid, she struggle to live to get out from sperado family. I envy her strength in that. Well it normal to cry because cry will make her stronger. Because it weird if people does not cry at all. To be strong all the time are bored ^^

Btw, just a small detail, but altho the cover is like this, the FMC doesn't look like this haha.
