G - 4 Star Mangas

Things progress too fast for my liking; Liliana gets betrayed by Allen, the guy she had a crush on, but two chapters later she’s already developing a crush on Glaive. Not only that, but Liliana is completely and utterly useless; the moment Allen shows up again, she follows him like a lost puppy, and Glaive has to be the one to pull her away from Allen. She’s a blacksmith, but she’s so weak that she can only “cutely” push away the demon king.

The story is too fast-paced; Zhuo manages to go back in time after Tingyu’s death, and he immediately goes to find Tingyu. And for whatever reason, he immediately starts flirting with Tingyu instead of trying to slowly get closer to Tingyu. Not only that, but Tingyu himself falls for Zhuo without any resistance and gets comfortable with a stranger he met less than a day ago. It feels like the author simply wanted them to get back together as quickly as possible.

I’m not sure what it is about this manga, but something just doesn’t feel right as I read it. Sure, it’s just a boring manga overall, but it feels like there’s something missing in it, and I can’t put my finger on what’s missing. The ML is such a boring guy, the FL is dumb and has to repeatedly be saved by the ML, the pacing is odd, and some things happen for no reason. I don’t even find myself getting attached to the characters or rooting for them.

• I don’t like how the black-haired guy forced himself onto the pink-haired one and how it just got brushed off as nothing. The pink-haired guy didn’t consent to the kiss and even thought about how scared he was, but as soon as the kiss was over, he instead thought about how his heart was racing not from fear, but due to his growing feelings towards the black-haired guy.

Even though they're supposedly about yanderes, only the first story feels like the ML is somewhat of a yandere; all the other stories just have normal MLs. As one Japanese comment said: these stories aren't about women ending up with yandere men, but rather about women who end up with "quirky" men. Some commenters on Japanese websites even questioned if the author knows what a yandere is.

The manhwa itself isn’t anything good or special; sure, he can read minds, but it really doesn’t do a lot since the main story is only 8 chapters long. It lacks anything that would actually tie the story together and instead makes this feel like a long one-shot, which it basically is. It’s a shame to me when stories that could have a seemingly good plot are too short for the plot to actually develop in any meaningful way.

The reviews on the manga are mixed; some people like it a lot and say that this is one of the greatest mangas to be made, while others say that the FL isn’t even a tsundere but rather just a rude and spoiled brat. Personally, I don’t like this manga and agree that the FL isn’t a tsundere; she’s just a spoiled brat that found out that no one likes her, thought that she died, and then decided to try to be better, though she makes no improvements in her behavior.
