super wholesome read, think happy ending, worth a reread
manga BL that focuses on the relationship between the MC's and has no smut. this one only has 2 or 2.5 chapters left.
story of healing, coming of age, exploring sexuality and homophobia, first romance
no smut as of ch.2 Torisumi Yuuhi developed face blindness as a result of a childhood bullying incident. He's a very attentive and caring person often struggling in interpersonal relationships and mischaracterized by others because of his condition. At work he meets Ukawa Itsuki who is the only person whose face he can see in detail. Despite his initial apprehension and out of curiousity, he exchanges numbers with a friendly Itsuki and decides to get to know him better.
MC has a crush on his long term best friend, but after graduation they lose contact. Crush invites MC to his wedding, and MC internalizes all his feelings and move on. An outgoing hookup suggests they start dating and see if MC looses feelings after awhile. A year later MC and crush reunite. After talking to close friends/family the crush slowly realizes their feelings were mutual. The crush had a chance all those years ago and didn't have to force himself to get married to move on from the MC.
a great coming of age story that explores gender identity, sexuality, and acceptance in a conservative patriarchal east asian country like japan. homophobia & transphobia
trans rep! genre should be marked as shounen ai but isn't. all characters are well thought out, wish more stories were written from a perspective like this, really good author with great art and storytelling
