Chp37 - honestly, this is a bit different to other bls. It reminds me of girl relationships, honestly the attachments in girl friendships gets crazy. It reminded me of my experiences, and i think this captures the inner feelings and specific dynamics of that enmeshment well. How people can put all their emotions into another person. This is in contrast to other bls, where emotional developments are through lens of male pride, resources, competition, stuff like that.

Chp9 - this author in general has very clear idea of their character flairs and their center of agency. I personally love the charas so far; Ban - blunt but not dumb/dense. His red flag relationship with Ray is nuanced - not all victims hate their controller but rather is lulled into a sense of dependency. Shin is seen as rebellious, dumb but ultimately he has a strong sense to exercise his will.

Now this is the proper gothic spirit in kbl form. The horrors which are embedded into the system, that manor. It truly broke my heart to see mc's programming trauma. The ending is ominous rather than 100% happy, the ghosts never went away as the mc still struggle with hallucinations and delusions, and the abuse kinda gets reenacted in the same manor. Abuse stories r usually quite bittersweet and realistic in its endings.

I love authors who write on the more "scummier" types of people and human tendencies, and their personal tragedies. Black haired guy never learnt how to not use other people to fill his own void, never developing the self-awareness to go beyond that. The 2 are bonded by a traumatic memory that forever repeats without getting processed. Any core emotion of love or connection is buried by resentment and guilt, all of it becoming unbudging stains on their lives. Love

Chp3 - honestly i love. I love a more ambiguous, human take on dynamics like aggressor x victim and troubled youth. A lot of victims think long-term rationally and choose to take it. I was looking forward to this ever since I saw the cover. Its funny that the mc opened up abt his abusive home and it was way out of scope of the new friend.

Ive been loving this. Honestly the trope of the younger top who imprinted on the older bottom emotionally and trying their best to be mature as an adult but being completely tactless its just my guilty pleasure trope but fr tho this story/novel is really adult abt conflict resolutiom!! The older bottom isn't this kind bleeding heart, but a neutral practical guy to the point of constant clean boundaries. And the younger top is very respectable in his mindset.
