What a refreshing read this was! It really highlights, "It takes a village to raise a child" at it's core. Love the representation of a mother and daughter relationship. If I were to have a child one day, I'd want it to be a daughter for sure.
The start is a little confusing but keep reading through, it will all make sense when you get to the end. It's an easy read all throughout, but still leaves you with heartwarming feelings.
I'm not usually big on sports, let alone mangas about them. But this one was such a gem! I know zero to nothing about soccer, and yet, I still had a great time reading this. You can't help but root for the main character, and just want to see him succeed. So many great characters in this one too, and the romance bits are the cherry on top
I am so glad I picked this up and decided to read it. Not only is the art so breathtakingly beautiful, but the story itself is wonderful to follow.
The author was inspired to write this because of their paralyzed mother, and during Covid, they would often have to travel back and forth to the hospital. And while on the way there's they would think "I'm just on the way to meet mom, why is it so long and tiring?". Alas, the story title came to be...
I applaud the author's ability to bring their character's emotions and feelings to life. You can really feel the main character's struggling, yearning, and the grasp of wanting to understand AND to be understood. It's the emptiness and yet the overwhelming of thoughts and emotions coming at you all at once.
I feel for the main character in this story. I hurt for his past and root for his future.
I didn't think how much this would get my heart pounding from frustration so much. It really just felt like everyone was trying their best to keep the two main leads apart, and it was killing me. Such pure love between two people, who want nothing than to be with each other.
Prepare yourself for heart palpitations. This story is filled with the most selfless and yet the most selfish characters. If you want to feel love, sadness and anger all at once, this is the read for you.
People who aren't reading this are missing out!
I can't put to words just how much I adore this webtoon. A great development between the main leads, I love the author using parallels between their past and the present. I also love the 90s setting, it almost feels like reading a throwback put into a webtoon. But what I love the most is the friendship and the camaraderie that grows between the After School group. Makes me feel envious that my childhood and teenage years weren't th
Who knew so much raw emotions can come from a Koto music club? I gave this a read-through about 3 times now, and it just gets better each time.
It has been wonderful following this story. I wish it would go on forever. The day the final chapter comes will be a bittersweet day, for sure.
Beautiful art. Beautiful story. Beautiful characters. Just all around beauty. The author has written a beautiful connection between two people, without having to label their "relationship". You can feel the love and care they have for each other.
Also, wow, author has a great sense of fashion.
The first webtoon that actually made me sob. The author has written sensitive and REAL matters in such a profound way. My heart goes out to this author, it takes a special kind of empathy and experience to write this.
Truly, deserving of their flowers. I am forever grateful for their beautiful piece of work.
You could hear my heart breaking when I reached the last chapter, and no new translations have been made since.
This is a gem! If you love the polar opposites trope, this is the perfect for you. Just two people you wouldn't think would pair together, but end up being SO precious. Truly a shame that translations have been dropped for this. I would've loved to see more of their journey together.
