Sigh, I really don't know what the author was thinking. This had one of the strongest start and the story had you hooked until it reached the final arc, and it all went downhill from there. I stuck through because I was hoping the conclusion would be tied up nicely...but it just went to a different direction. It really just go me thinking, "Well, what was the point of all this?"
It almost felt like the author had given up on their own story. Truly a shame.
This was at it's strongest when the main focus was on the main couple. But the writing completely fell off when it came to the second couple. It's like 2 different people wrote this.
The FL of this couple was introduced as confident and forthcoming at the start. But then when it finally came to her story with her male counterpart, she turned into an insecure, quick to jump to conclusions and refuses to communicate character. Just a big 180 change. It was hard to read and connect with
Unfortunately, the main couple were the worst part of this story. So much so, that the side couple stood out more and quite frankly, I wished the main story was about them.
There was just zero chemistry between the main couple and their relationship almost felt forced. Reading this, makes you all the more aware, that it's fictional because nothing about the main couple's story feels authentic and real.
I'm convinced the author hates their own work or has a hidden agenda against their team or something. Because how did we go from the sweetest Shoujo with the sweetest main leads...to second ML, who also is an adult and ML's brother trying to steal his girlfriend, to the point of assaulting her? Nothing about this was fun to read - just upsetting all around, I feel almost disrespected having read it.
Yet, another webtoon that was truly a gem of its own...now turned to pure garbage. Author decided that it needed more conflict, so they decided to write in one of the worst tropes of having the main couple unnecessarily break up due to stupid hangups. This is still ongoing, but I can't find it in me to continue with this.
No words needed for this one.
Over 100 chapters, and yet there is absolutely zero chemistry between the main couple. The FL completely puts the ML on a pedestal, it feels like she admires him more than she actually likes him romantically. The ML, has the personality equivalent to watching the paint dry. Just...dry all around. This manga also lasted longer than it needed to, it was quite obvious, the author just wanted to prolong the story.
