The angst here is just as painful as it is gentle, mundane, yet deep. Two people want to escape. One wants to escape from a place where trauma haunts him while waiting out his abusive father's release from prison while the other wants to escape from life itself. They meet at a point of their lives that could be best described as limbo, as the calm before a big storm. Baekhee (MC) is in an abusive relationship while falling for the suicidal Ilwoo (ML).

This is just a thick, suffocating cloud of angst. Jinseo, Jinha's (ML) older brother, takes his own life. His lover, Won, (MC) attends the funeral and there, he meets Jinha. It's love at first sight for Jinha and a very intense sexual relationship begins. Jinha is torn between giving in to the pleasure of being wanted and the pain of potentially substituting for his dead brother. Won gives off the impression he's using him as a substitute, but beneath that hides yearning...
